I chose this image from the documentary because it stands out to me as a very profound image. At first glance, it seems very simplistic but yet there is so much to unpack as far as the significance of what this image symbolizes. There are a few words that come to mind when I see this image, the first of which is innocence. There is perhaps nothing more innocent then a young child, whose consciousness has not yet been tainted by the world. He is simply standing in an open field with the skyline behind him. Which brings me to the second word I think of: Potential. The reason this image makes me think of potential is the fact that it is a young child but also because of the angle that the shot is taken at. The fact that it’s angles upwards with the skyline in the background symbolizes that this child’s potential has no horizon. In other words “The Sky is the limit” .
